Terms & Conditions

Reservations and Booking Policy

  • Full amount to be charged to credit card upon booking.

  • All cottages are subject to a 2-night minimum stay 

  • A minimum night stay of 3 nights may be in effect during weekends, holidays, or special events. 

  • Upon submission of this form, your request will be processed, and you will receive a booking confirmation immediately. 

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations or changes received 30+ days prior to arrival will be refunded full amount paid less a $25 cancelation fee.

  • Cancellations or changes received within the 30 day period will result in no refund given.

  • No refund will be given for any evictions, no-shows, or early check-outs. See terms and conditions. 

  • Early departures will be responsible for 100% of each remaining night reserved.

  • No refund will be given for late arrivals 

Check-In / Check-Out Policy

  • Check-In: 4pm

  • Check-out: 10am

  • Text Check In: Please text upon arrival to check in so we can send door codes , and go over any or all important information needed. 

  • Early check-ins will not be permitted before 4pm unless discussed and approved in advance through The Tides management.

  • If you are unable to arrive on day of booking but still wish to keep your reservation you must email or phone The Tides management.

  • Check-out times for all cottages are 10am. This is strongly enforced unless discussed and approved through The Tides management. 

  • Any unauthorized late check-outs will be subject to a full days rate or any loss of revenue due to late check-out.

Occupancy Policy

 

  • All cottages have a strict occupancy that is stated on each unit. These occupancy’s will be enforced and a breach of stated occupancy will be subject to a $250 per night per additional person fine at the discretion of The Tides management.  

  • Elm Cottage: 2 person occupancy

  • Rose Cottages: 2 person occupancy

  • Lavender Cottage: 2 person occupancy

  • Oak Cottage: 4 person occupancy 

  • Arbutus House: 6 person occupancy 

Payment Policy

 

  • Full amount to be charged to credit card upon booking

  • Payments made by MasterCard and Visa accepted only

  • All rates are listed in Canadian dollars and are subject to a change without notice

  • Rates do not include GST (5%) PST (7%) and MRD Tax (2%)

Smoking/Drug/Alcohol Policy

 

  • Smoking is strictly forbidden in all cottages, house and outdoor property. If evidence of smoking is found a $250 fine will be charged to your credit card. If smoking continues after first offence immediate eviction will be enforced.

  • Drugs are strictly forbidden in all cottages, house, and outdoor property. If evidence of drugs are found a $250 fine will be charged to your credit card. If there is repeated offence after first notice given immediate eviction will be enforced.

  • Alcohol consumed by any underage guest will result in immediate eviction. 

  • Alcohol consumed on property must be drank responsibly and any acts of discrepancies or disruption of other guests can be subject to $250 fine, or amount of lost revenue, or eviction. 

Pet Policy

 

  • All pets welcome on property

  • Any guest bringing their furry friend will be subject to a $25 per night charge. 

  • Maximum 2 pets per stay.

  • Food & water bowls, bio-degradable poop baggies, and towels will be provided in room upon pet booking.

  • Any pet found on property that have not be booked will result in a $250 fee.

  • Please keep all pets on leash at all times on shared outdoor areas of property

  • Pets are not permitted in or around pool and hot tub

  • Pets should not be left unattended in cottages and house. If you need to leave without your pet, please leave contact information where we can reach you should your pet need tending to

  • Please clean up after pet on property – dog baggies are provided upon arrival and given if needed more.

  • Any damages caused by your pet will be charged to your credit card

  • Any disturbance caused by pet on property affecting other guests will result in charge of any lost revenue to credit card.

 

Child Policy

 

  • All children & youth welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times if under 12 years of age

  • Parents & guardians are responsible for the care and actions of children at all times.

  • Any damages caused by children on property will be charged to parent or guardians credit card

  • Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian by and in pool and hot tub area at all times

 

Pool & Hot Tub Policy

 

  • Pool & Hot Tub are closed from 10pm to 8am.

  • Children 7 years old or younger must remain within arms’ reach of a parent or guardian (18+ years) at a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children.

  • Youth ages 8 to 11 years old must have an adult remain on-site within close proximity of the pool and hot tub area

  • Dangerous practices are prohibited. Guests must not run on the pool deck; must not climb stair railings; dive in shallow water (less than 9ft deep); dunk, push, pull or unnecessarily splash other swimmers, or jump in hot tub

  • There is no lifeguard on property. 

  • Outdoor clothing and footwear are prohibited from the pool and hot tub

  • No diving into pool.

  • Beverages in glass or breakable cups are not permitted in the pool and hot tub area.

  • Anyone not toilet trained must wear water resistant swimwear to prevent contamination of the pool or hot tub. Cloth or disposable diapers are not accepted

  • Spitting, nose blowing, and urinating in the pool or hot tub is not permitted

  • Animals are not allowed in the pool or hot tub area with the exception of guide dogs. Guide dogs are allowed on pool deck but not in the pool or hot tub

  • Hot Tub occupancy is 4 guests at a time

  • Pregnant women should not be using the hot tub

  • Do NOT use under the influence of alcohol, anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics, or tranquilizers.

  • Do NOT use a Hot Tub if you are taking any medication that makes you drowsy or affects your circulation. If necessary, check with your doctor.

  • Soaking in the hot tub can dehydrate you, which could lead to nausea, dizziness, or fainting. Take breaks from the Hot Tub and drink water before getting back in.

 

**The Tides reserves the right to terminate a booked holiday if any stated rules are in violation. No refunds will be issued.

ASSUMPTION OF RISKS

BE AWARE THAT ALL RECREATIONAL AREAS (HOT TUBS, POOL, BIKES AND ROUTES, ETC.) INVOLVE MANY INHERENT RISKS, INCLUDING—BUT NOT LIMITED TO—CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT FAILURE, COLLISION WITH OBJECTS/PEOPLE OR FAILURE TO USE FACILITIES IN A SAFE AND PRUDENT MANNER—WITHIN ONES ABILITY—MAY CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH.  ALL GUESTS AND VISITORS USING “THE TIDES” FACILITIES DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK.
